Everyone I have served this to has found it the best hot cocoa EVER!
Our family drank Caribbean hot cocoa for the first time when we were visiting Dominica. We brought home the cocoa sticks, bay leaves and cinnamon bark which I have used so far… Running out now, time to go back :). Thank you for putting this recipe out there!

Didn’t have cardamom pods, so I used elychee. Came out great, had it as a complete breakfast. Nice warming drink. I didn’t have dried orange peel so I used fresh orange peel, a few pieces.

I just uncovered them a month ago and have been experimenting with different mixtures since I can’t have dairy. My favorite so far is cocoa tea cooked with a blade of mace and palm sugar and then add unsweetened almond milk and strain. So wonderful, We can’t wait to go back!
